About the Designer: Mayka Can2ienova Mayka is a multi-talented artist driven by diverse passions. She is a designer, an illustrator, and a conceptual artist whose deep love for art has led her to travel the world to discover new techniques and fresh inspiration. She has explored the art cultures in Paris, Amsterdam, and other European cities, and has even traveled to Japan to study Japanese painting.
Mayka says that mostly all of her works are inspired from specific feelings or topics. They begin as drawings or paintings, and are then edited digitally. Mayka’s goal with her artworks is to show viewers perceptions of their own imagination, as she does in this collection and also in a new collection of women astronauts she is currently creating. Mayka’s dream is to be able to connect with creatives around the world and be an inspiration to them.
With over 1,000 public votes, Mayka was the winner of the 1st Curioos Contest, and therefore a feature in NYC at the Soho digital art exhibition in January 2014.
